Charley Murphy's cooking Johnsonville Brats!

Good memory CJ.  Though the actual commercial is nowhere to be found on the internets, I did find evidence that it's Charley Murphy.

  1. Dave, why are you unzipping something and breathing heavy in the background?

  2. I just wasted 30 minutes of my life looking for a Charlie Murphy/Johnsonville Brats commercial on the inter-web.

  5. Ohh, and thanks for providing that link to Larry Manetti's website. Did you know it has a feature where you can listen to the Magnum P.I. theme song while you browse? Also, I was doing a little Magnum research and came across these great facts on a website called Wikipedia. Ever heard of it?

Selleck's contract commitment to Magnum cost him the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. He was unable to take the part because Magnum was due to start filming in March 1980. However, a writer's strike delayed the start of production on Magnum until December 1980, which would have allowed Selleck to play Indy. In Magnum's final season, the producers gave a nod to his sacrifice with the episode “Legend of the Lost Art”, which parodied the film.

The iconic Mike Post & Pete Carpenter Magnum P.I. theme song was actually a Top 40 hit in 1982. In April, it peaked at #25 on the pop charts and made an appearance on the adult contemporary charts as well.

Check out this setlist from a band called Haha the Moose. You can listen to the songs too but they are pretty weak. http://www.archive.org/details/hhtm2008-12-04.schoeps64_akg461matrix
